WINTER IS HERE… And so is the possibility of a dry and itchy scalp

Flannel PJs and bed socks are becoming our nighttime staples, as the colder months begin to arrive on our doorstep!

Unfortunately this also means another shift in our every day environmental elements, which means our scalp (and hair) will be affected by the changing temperatures.

As the days become shorter and we start to indulge our winter wardrobe again, you may notice your skin becomes dryer and more irritated than normal.

Like us, our scalp feels the effects of the winter chills and dryness in the air. They not only suck moisture from your hair, but your scalp too. The primary causes are drier air, artificial heating warming us, moving from cold outdoor temps to indoor heated environments and back out again, extra-hot showers, lack of moisture, and also some of us drink less water.

Dry, heated indoor air through the winter months is one of the main reasons for an itchy scalp, funnily enough!

SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulphates), which can be found in most shampoos on the market, is another factor that can cause an irritated scalp, as it strips the hair and scalp of its natural oils.

To preserve our facial skin’s youthful appearance, we cleanse, we exfoliate, we mask, and moisturise. So why not treat our scalp in the same way? With this in mind,  De Lorenzo’s winter hair and scalp care must-haves can save you from these annoying side-effects of our dreaded colder months.

If your scalp seems a little more irritated or itchy than usual or may even be a little flaky, Tricho Scalp Cleanser, Conditioner and Toner - available in  Balance for Dry Scalps and Control for Oily Scalps - are specially designed to minimise flaking and keep flakes at bay, whilst nourishing and feeding the scalp and hair.

The Tricho Natural Scalp Therapy range is specifically designed to beat this annoying problem, and controls dry and/or oily scalp, dandruff and other conditions associated with symptoms of itchiness, redness and scaling.

The 3-step program includes a Cleanser, Conditioner and Leave-in Toner, and this includes:

  1. CLEANSE: Gently cleanses the scalp without stripping the hair of its natural oils.
  2. CONDITION: Gently nourishes the scalp and hair.
  3. TONER: Acts as a stimulant, promoting circulation and healthy scalp.

NOTE:

Tricho Scalp Treatments Balm and Relief Crème, may also be included to calm and soothe the scalp.

Beat your Winter scalp and hair woes this year with De Lorenzo…bed socks & PJs not included (sorry!).
