FOUNDATIONAL BALANCE

Protein is the principal balance for strong healthy hair and your hair is comprised of 97% keratin, which is a protein. As the hair ages and is exposed to environmental wear and tear, such as chemical services and heated appliances, damage to the protein structure occurs. To counteract the damage, you can fill the hair with a protein similar in composition to the hair itself; De Lorenzo use plant derived phytoproteins to fill, seal and strengthen the damaged hair shaft.

COMPLIMENTARY BALANCES

Moisture = Manageability

The moisture content of hair can vary as atmospheric and elemental conditions alter. Moisture is the internal lubricant of the hair shaft. The correct moisture balances gives hair its elasticity, manageability and pliability. When there is a lack of moisture, these qualities are affected and the hair becomes stiff, dry and unmanageable.

NATURAL OILS CALLED SEBUM GIVE PROTECTION

Sebum is the natural oil of the scalp. It exudes onto the scalp and travels along the hair shaft. Its role is one of protection and is the external lubricant of the hair shaft. Sebum seals in moisture, provides lubrication and reduces wear and tear.

pH BALANCE = ACID MANTLE

The Acid Mantle is a mildly acidic environment that exists on our scalp as a result of perspiration and sebum. The role of the acid mantle is to protect the scalp from bacterial attacks and to maintain the hair in a strong and flexible state, keeping the hair shaft as strong as possible. Your scalps pH value falls in the range of pH 4.5-5.5
