De Lorenzo was founded in 1986 by brothers Vincent and Anton De Lorenzo, pioneers in the Australian hairdressing industry since the 1940's. They were the first to introduce the 'salon only' concept to the Australian market in the early 1960's with a professional range of haircare known as 'Delva', which they sold through their renowned Sydney salon 'De Lorenzo'.

During his illustrious and influential 65 year career, Vincent de Lorenzo along with his brother Anton bridged the gap between Australia and the international hairdressing scene by showcasing Australian talent on a world scale in various hairdressing competitions and by appearing at industry seminars around the world.

As the president of the MLHA (now known as the PHA) for 12 years, Vincent was able to lift the standard of Australian hairdressing to new heights, and today can be credited with changing the landscape of our industry forever. Vincent and Anton's passion for education and their dedication to manufacturing natural, quality, professional products is their lasting legacy.

In 2007, Vincent received an Order of Australia Medal for his contribution to the Australian hairdressing industry in education and manufacturing.
